What is the difference between Clomid, Nolvadex and Arimidex?

All these three drugs are used to counter the side effects of prolonged use of testosterone or anabolic steroids. When a person is on high dose testosterone, negative feedback system sends a signal to testicles to stop producing testosterone, to counter overdosing.  Another, problem with steroids use is high levels of estrogen, either due to the conversion of anabolic steroids (due to a process called aromatization) or as a rebound effect on discontinuation.

clomid box by genesis(clomiphene citrate)-  acts directly on the pituitary gland to stimulate secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH). LH, in turn, works on the testicles so that they produce more of testosterone and sperms. It will also help prevent shrinking of testicles. It will have a positive effect on libido and general health.

In it is often used to treat male and female infertility

It is in the post cycle therapy to get rid of side effects of prolonged use of steroids. purpose of this drug is to revive the natural production of testosterone in men. Quite often it may be combined with HCG (a kind of hormone).

In it for about weeks post cycle.

Side effects of the drug are flushing, nausea, emotional changes.

nolvadex boxes by genesis(tamoxifen citrate) – is estrogen receptor modulator. It means that it blocks the effect of female hormone estrogen on the brain and breast.

When a person is on steroids, many of the steroids in the body they are changed to estrogen. That is why those who use steroids suffer from gynecomastia.

However, specialists warn that Nolvadex should be used with caution, as estrogen also helps to maintain muscle mass and libido in men. Using Nolvadex along with steroids may reduce their total effect.

Further, high dose Nolvadex increases levels of sex hormone binding globulin (SHGB). High levels of SHGB reduce free testosterone levels, thus further weakening the action of steroids.

Keeping in mind that Nolvadex may reduce the of steroids it is used in low doses to counter the aromatization. low enough so that not to completely block the effect of estrogen, or raise levels of SHBG.

Nolvadex is also used in PCT to counter the estrogen rebound that may occur with certain steroids.

(Anastrozole)- it is an aromatase inhibitor. Thus it helps control estrogen production in men. When using steroids estrogen is produced due to a chemical reaction called aromatization (often occurs in fat tissues). However, not all steroids produce this reaction. Thus the use of Arimidex is reserved for few cases.

One must understand that estrogen is also needed by men for good health. Thus aromatase inhibitors should be used with caution. Arimidex can be used during the cycle to reduce side effects caused by aromatization. It may also be used post-cycle to prevent estrogen rebound.

Thus, all the three drugs, that is Clomid, Nolvadex, and Arimidex act differently. Clomid helps revive natural production of testosterone post-cycle and works well in combination with HCG. Nolvadex blocks some of the effects of estrogen. Arimidex may reduce the production of estrogens in men. As Nolvadex and Arimidex are used for the same purpose, they will not be used together.
